How many times have you heard that corporate training is so boring? How many jokes have you heard about keeping awake during training?

There are many ways to avoid this. One is to take the class out of the classroom.

In fact, Gardner categorizes being close to nature and appreciating nature as one of the eight intelligences we need to develop. He called it Naturalist Intelligence.

Yes, but how? Most corporate training are done in training rooms in corporate offices, or in hotels. How do you bring the class out?

Have you heard of the saying “where there is a will, there is a way”?

If you are in HR and you are arranging corporate training for your staff, consider the venue. I know cost is a big issue. But do you know there are places to hold workshops that are in nature? Malaysia is blessed in that regard.

And these are not necessarily more expensive than venues in the cities.

The benefits are tremendous. People learn better in a relaxing environment like the outdoors. Nature reduces stress. It is a fun and different experience to the usual workshops your staff experiences. So even if it costs a bit more, it’s worth it!

You can even find venues in the city that is in nature and is driving distance. This means your staff do not need to stay overnight, and you don’t have to pay accomodation costs. They can drive back home after 5pm.

If you are a trainer, on the other hand, consider suggesting training venues that are in nature. This adds a lot to the workshop experience and the learning process for your participants.

Sure, it’s more work, but it’s worth it.

There are venues like this in the city so your clients do not need to pay extra for accommodation. You just need to find these places.

Think about it. It’s worth it! 🙂
